relove

We believe that fashion can be cyclical and environmentally friendly. In following this philosophy, we have created ReLove, our eco-friendly collection. As part of our commitment to create more sustainable pieces with less environmental impact, our ReLove label uses organic, recycled or natural fibres.

RELOVE RANGE:

We label clothes as ReLove when they have been designed using a more sustainable process. These pieces have been made from materials of natural, organic or recycled origin and/or are made in Italy, Spain and Portugal. They are now immediately identifiable in our physical and online stores.

In our Autumn Winter 2019 collection, 10% of all our clothing was part of the ReLove collection. In 2020, 26% of all our clothing was part of the ReLove collection. Not only are we committed to increasing this figure to 35% of total production in 2021, but we are also ensuring this figure increases over the next few years to minimise any possible impact Brownie has on the environment.

All our pieces labelled ReLove follow quality standards set by international bodies. We closely monitor the materials we use in our clothing, as well as the production process, so that the final piece complies with the Brownie quality standard.

At present, all our suppliers involved in the ReLove collection are OCS (Organic Content Standard), GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) certified, and also work with recycled cotton and Lenzing materials such as Lyocell and Ecovero Viscose.

Brownie ADN:

Brownie is mainly comprised of a young team, who wants to guide company towards a sustainable future. A future in which the impact of our collections on the world is only aesthetic and not environmental.

Our stores have a distinctive look due to their use of recycled furniture, fittings and fixtures. In order to achieve this, we use vintage and antique furniture (in some cases pieces that are more than 100 years old!) and upcycled items, giving them a second life thanks to our ecosystem of artisans and restoration experts. This also helps us to minimize industrial scale production.

The result? Each one of our stores is special and unique. We promote artisanship and furniture restoration because we truly believe in the beauty of objects with a history.
